It's been 3 years and 9 months since my last post, it doesn't seem that long at first glance, but it really has once you start thinking about it. A lot has happened in that time, some good and some not so good. My job takes up a good chunk of my time away from home and at times is very stressful. The trade off is my job allows me to do the things we normally wouldn't be able to do, so that's a good thing.
The bad things that have happened over that time are luckily not many, but just the same very bad and they leave a hole in the ones that knew and loved them.
My Daughter in-law had lost her Grandmother unexpectedly.
My Daughter in-law had lost her Grandfather on Christmas day 2013.
We lost my Uncle Bob April 2013.
Lost my Uncle George in 2013.
We lost my Mother in-law this last April, she is very much missed.
The list of good things that I can be thankful for is longer than the bad, which is the first on the list.
We've celebrated birthdays and anniversaries for a lot of people.
I enjoy seeing my Son David, continue to grow personally and professionally.
My Grandson Austin, has become a very good football player and continues to grow playing the game.
My Granddaughter Chloe, is involved in competition cheer and had gone to the Nationals at Disney World. She is what I would call excellent, she is what you call a flier, the person on top of pyramids and the one they toss.
My Grandson Jordan, has started kindergarten and is doing very well and when he's not in school he can be found conquering the next video game.
Cherrie and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in St. Lucia where we renewed our vows.
Cherrie and I purchased our Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic, which we try and ride every chance we get.
I was able to connect to long lost relatives and friends through Facebook.
My Sister in-law and Brother in-law had a double wedding in June 2014 in Wisconsin.
I saved this for last because of the importance to me. I had reconnected with my family after 29 years!
There also has been a lot more good things that have happened but these are the bigger ones.
Everyday I talk with our residents in our assisted living communities, they say "My husband and I were going to do that, but he died and now I'm here." "If you're going to do something do it while you can." I still haven't figured how to do that without an income. So in the meantime I'll try to do as many things as I can.
I'll try and post every other week on something of some interest.
